Fixed it. In this case think you copy/pasted the full Google search result URL. Next time try right clicking directly on the image and then look for an image location or link to copy.

Wow, with that thing you might even be able to fit all the dog's squeaky toys.

I have to jump in and add at least a +100 to Firebro's post.

A good friend of mine picked up a lightly used X5 Diesel a couple of years ago. It's one of the best cars you can ask for on a road trip. It's comfortable, roomy, and easy on fuel. It can cruise all day at warp speed and have good enough road manners to make it an enjoyable experience.

My only gripe with the X5 3.0d is that even if you have a note from your mother saying that you're smart enough to change your own gears, they won't build one with a gearshift and clutch pedal....

I absolutely love your X5 perspective and overview. The Steptronic is all I need to get the complete experienced in the X5. I should have made my interest more clear to my son-in-law when they recently traded theirs back for another Beemer. I loved that car!

Or Volkswagen phaeton W12, Merc s65, the best 2003 Audi RS6 you can find with lots of money left over, Audi RS7 or low mileage Bentley Flying Spur. Let someone else take the depreciation hit for you and have a car you can get on while your passenger sleeps in comfort. I'd make sure to buy it in time for a k40 radar install if I were in your shoes.

Goes anywhere, no need to stop for bathroom breaks, no need to find a clean hotel. EarthRoamer is a little out of the budget. But you get the idea.

That is pretty darned cool, but not sure that it goes anywhere. Black Bear pass would see that thing rolling all the way to Telluride.

I like this one. This thing has more square footage than my cabin. Out of budget though.

We had a RS4 Avant B7. Comfy (the version with no bucket seats), powerful and here you guys have cheap gasoline! And the car is spacious, for a 4 weeks trip could be the key :)

I was watching a soccer match webfeed recently (Tulsa Roughnecks, FWIW), and on the edge of the stadium was what looked like a '16 Silverado. Those things are sexy if you like a truck. I'd love to take one cross country.

I have made that trip a few times, a 95 ford escort (no AC), 80 Camaro (no AC, black interior with two kids strapped in the back) full size Dodge truck, Dodge and Honda mini vans. Note: all these trips were made in the middle of summer. The vans were the most comfortable by far and had plenty of room. With $75k in hand I'd would want comfort, room and maybe a place to sleep, the Moab would be a great layover.

We did 8500 miles many years ago in our 2nd gen Dodge Caravan AWD. Ohio winding about to Washington State then back, with our 3 year old son. Had the kiddie potty in the car ready to go.

Did it way back when, out and back and all around on a CB750 Honda. Thank god I was young because I sure as hell couldn't do it now.
