    I'm surprised I haven't heard/read more about this. A HUGE safety-related mistake, no doubt, and it wouldn't have taken much to turn from surprising to horrific.

    Someone made a decision and someone else was nearly killed. Seems to me someone well up the decision making ladder ought to answer for it (no one in a lowly position has the power to decide to start the race) but I expect the marshall himself or someone near him will be blamed.

    No wonder F1 costs so much......

    Did you notice the radius just before the threads - stress riser relief. Square head was interesting too.....

    Hardware store? Hey Lee don't you have an old coffee can full of odd nutz & boltz? I do, not sure what they fit, but can't bring myself to throw them away. :)
