I'm flipping through my M/A calendar waiting for F1. Can't find any of the dates for F1 or anything else, seems to be a year behind.
So it looks like Paddy Lowe is moving to Williams. A swap deal for Bottas? Massa has canceled his F-E ride to stay at Williams.
Bottas F1 2017 move to Mercedes in final stages, admits Williams (motorsport.com) More here: http://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/bottas-f1-2017-move-to-mercedes-in-final-stages-admits-williams-865734/
I'm really happy to hear that Bottas will fill the open spot at Mercedes. But I'm delighted to hear Massa is back at Williams! Wonder if he still gets to keep the car?
Worst kept secrets in F1 history. I love seeing Massa on the grid but I feel a little sorry for him. I'm sure it makes him happy now but I don't think it was a good decision. Though I'm sure Williams hope he will score lots of points, I feel like his primary roll is to be Stroll's Yoda. I also hoped Merc would run into a brick wall trying to poach Bottas and end up forced to sign a rookie at the last minute, just because it would be fun to watch that play out through a season. Oh well, at least it's all settled.
I doubt Manor will need to announce their driver lineup for next season...... I guess the good news is that since they pay down to 10th place, everybody will get paid next season, even if you don't score points.
