Roaring MINIs LAD brought three MINIs to the Roar Before the 24. Number 37 was not unloaded from the truck. Cars 52 and 73 made many laps. They were performing well. They out accelerated the Porsches leaving the hairpin, and got on the brakes much later entering the corner before the oval. Looked good out on the track. Times were close, but not in the top few. Daytona, with its long straights is not the best track for the unaerodymamic MINI. While there will be MINIs racing in the Continental on Friday of the Daytona 24, there will not be a MINI Corral nor MINI Hospitality as there was in 2016. Will miss seeing the MINIs gathered in front of the race stadium and sharing the race with other MINI owners.

The Patron liveried cars will be easy to spot, as usual. [ame]https://twitter.com/Rolex24Hours/status/823957145691582465[/ame]

Still more than 2 hours to go and I'm afraid to mention how well the MINIs have been doing... :fingerscrossed:

For any who are still wondering about timing, here you go. That's the broadcsat start. If you're like me and tend to skip all pre-race stuff, I believe the race doesn't actually start until 2:30.
