I'm going to say Force India aren't concerned about looks this year. The split nose design seems like an evolution from last year's nostril nose. Force India 2017 (left), Merc 2016 (right).
Sauber already had a filming day at Barcelona. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EixDrunQKa0"]F1 2017 - The Sauber C36 on track in Barcelona - YouTube[/ame]
The tech analysis on Force India said their engineers said regulations kept them from being able to remove the hump. ??? The other teams reviled so for have had no problem. Time for some new engineers.
What the ...? Apparently this thing wasn't mounted for Merc's big reveal but showed up later during shake down runs. I guarantee all the other teams are scouring the regs looking for the loophole. (pics via racecarengineering.com) More pics on the way.
Is it just me or does the Merc's rear wing look extra low?? Click the play buttons: [ame]https://twitter.com/F1/status/834758011088359428[/ame] [ame]https://twitter.com/MercedesAMGF1/status/834766810272636931[/ame]
Some interesting details. Weird wing sticking out, and what's that boxy biz on the side of the bulkhead? Hmmm... Look at that jagged erm...windscreen?
