On my way to work this morning and was waiting at a traffic light. A guy in a big rig pulled up next to me and just stared at my car. Looked at it from front to back, then gave me a thumbs up just as the light turned green. :biggrin5:

As one of the guys in a local MINI club was a bus driver, the driver of this rig was possibly a MINI owner also, I guess.

Today I wiped off some pollen and I think I may pull it out of the garage and wash it after work.

I opened a bunch of boxes from Amazon. Has anyone tried to refinish (dye) a convertible top at home before? The top looks like it has some bald spots. I bought the "back to black" fabric top dye kit.

No, but please post an update with the results. I've been wanting to get that jet black look back on my other car for a few years now and wasn't sure what to use.

Finally finished getting the Clubman back together, changed the oil and filter, took the bra out of storage and after an hour had it fitting and looking pretty good.
My friend that pasted and left me the Mini named it "Tinker", so tomorrow Tinker and I are heading to the Coast...taking the long route both down and back.

Just to clarify, who was the bra for?:lol: The long route is always the best route in a mini! especially in one that brings back good memories!

Just got back home. Last week we used my Mini to take the dog to the dog park. So the back is full of hair. I will be vacuuming it out today!

LOVE the new tires on my R50...so much that I'm putting another set on my R50 next week! What a difference in the ride and cornering!!

The '06 cup holder is on the R50 now. No longer do I have to live in fear of my wife spilling her beverage when she is with me in the R50 and I am driving!:ihih:

Stoped down at Helix today to see friends before the Dragon and talk with JAN at RMW dyno tune day.

Also upgraded my pulley to a 17% with a new 532 belt. I am not worried about heat since I run 100% Meth.

    Ready for the Dragon. :devil::Thumbsup:

Did your dyno numbers change? Just wondering if possibly you knew the HP difference with the new pulley.

We looked at it on the dyno and the tq numbers gave a nice bump in the lower end, early in the powerband and HP dropped off a tiny amount at the high end at 7500 to 8000 rpm so it was nothing to worry about.

Yeah, with my custom tune I do not have a rev limiter set at OEM spec any longer.

Hp may have only dropped a few but Torque shot up nicely which was needed because the new OS GIKEN lsd is a true locker unlike the OEM lsd. More lowend tq is needed and when you have it it makes the car feel like it trying to pull up the asphalt because it has so much grip.:devil:

Replaced both front wheel bearings. Was going to replace outer ball joints, but could not get the little bugg@rs to come out. On modmini's video they popped out like poop thru a goose. I should be so lucky. Soaked with PB Blaster, and will try during the week as I have to work 3rd shift tonight and it's close to nap time. All of this was in preparation for The Dragon, but might not be going now. Ceramic top on the stove has cracked, and "she who must be obeyed" is shopping for a new stove. :eek6: Then on Friday, it got cold at night and my wife noticed that the furnace was not blowing hot air. Guy came out yesterday (for $149 call out fee!!!!!!), and says that it might be the control panel. Guess we'll see how many body parts I have to sell to have that fixed.

You can get a drift down from the top and bang on them with a 3 pounder, they'll come out. Be sure to lube the new ones with some antiseize or grease so they'll just fall out the next time you need to change them

^^^^^ Yeah, going to get an aluminum drift from work tonight. PB should have had time to soak thru.
