Are any MA members currently using the:

    BF Goodrich G-FORCE SPORT COMP-2 on their Gen 1 R53 size 205x45x17 ?

I would like to hear your comments on this tire please.

    Thanks much . . . . . . MiniKar

I've had some on Bitsy Mae for a couple days now. 215/45 17's. On my stock wheels I had the same size Michelin's PSS's to compare these too. The BFG's aren't as good noise-wise and lateral acceleration, lets start with that, but they're not a bad tire. I'm happy with them, they're plenty sticky and when they do start to break they're predictable much like the PSS's. Out of these 2 the G-Force 2's do let you stay in the throttle a bit more when leaving a corner, the PSS's do break loose a little bit more than the BFG's. Overall good, Not as good as higher priced competitors (just not as sticky in the twisties) but best bang for your buck I'd say. Good in the wet as well.

I don't push my mini to racing extremes but do enjoy going through twisties quickly sometimes.

I'm more concerned with the noise level; since you just installed these tires and you think they are loud now what will they be like at 10,000 miles ?

On a scale of 1 to 10 what do you think is the tire noise level.

    Thanks.

If you want quieter and all around perfect tire get the PSS's they're the best daily use tire on the market in this category/size. Or, save some cash and get BFG's, they get the job done. These are just ok noise wise. Not sure how to gage a 1-10 scale. How about this, they're quieter than run flats.

Can't speak to the BFG tires. I run Michelins.
