In the first episode of Project Binky, we take a rotten old Austin Mini and strip it down to a bare shell. We then take an angle grinder to it and cut it to pieces. It's only then that the customised rebuilding process starts. We're trying to create the fastest Mini on the planet. We're going to rebuild it with the engine and running gear from a Toyota Celica ST185 GT4. Or at least that's the plan. Whether it comes off or not is another matter. We're filming this as it happens so what you see is only a few weeks behind where we're actually at so we're not sure yet whether we can do it. That's kind of the fun though. Stick with us through the highs and the lows of the project. Hopefully it'll be worth the agony and cash. I'm keeping an eye on it too. These guys are entertaining, and they look like they know what they're doing.

Hi Guys, Thanks for posting our videos. We're really glad you're enjoying them. Episode 3 is being filmed now, hope to have it up around Christmas time, but no promises! Cheers! Richard Brunning Bad Obsession Motorsport
A Christmas present for us all - part three: [ame=http://youtu.be/ksbtdPgQM00]Project Binky - Episode 3 - Austin Mini GT-Four - Turbo Charged 4WD Mini - YouTube[/ame] Are there people who could do this without the biscuits? I do hope not.
These guys are great fabricators. I think they could use a TIG welder as well as their MIG welder. Imagine what they could do with a CNC plasma cutter!!
We do have a TIG set-up but as everything so far has been 2mm plate and the like, it hasn't really been necessary to break it out! Thanks for watching everyone, so glad you're enjoying them. Cheers, Richard Bad Obsession Motorsport
WOW....we have a celebrity on board! Thanks for visiting Richard. The wife and I are really enjoying this build and she is not a car person by any definition.....you guys are great.
Everyone, we're recording a Q&A session on Wednesday all about Project Binky, so if anyone has any burning questions you'd like answered, please let us know by email to [email protected] Time is of the essence so be quick with your questions! We'll answer as many as we can and we'll get the video out within a week or so. Cheers, Richard Bad Obsession Motorsport
Here is the latest installment....they try to answer some questions on New Years Day. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIwZ3igJVMI]Project Binky - Unplugged. Q&A Session. Austin Mini GT-Four - YouTube[/ame]
Thanks ever so much for watching everyone! 10,000 views in under 3 weeks for episode 3 just blew us away. Hope you enjoy the silly Q&A session; we were mildly hungover...
