I got one key when I bought my '08 Clubman S.

Recommendations for getting a second? Online via ebay and programming myself OR pay $$$$ to get new one from dealer?
    - if I buy on Ebay, do I need it to be cut? or just reprogrammed at the same time I do the other?

BTW, first one seems to be dead - although I read that if I go on a long drive that should charge it?

Just got my MC Clubman yesterday! Still working out all the idiosynchracies

Your best bet would be go to a dealer and have a new key cut and coded to your car.

The eBay way can be a long painful process to save a few bucks. When it comes to getting keys the dealership is the best root to take even though it cost a little more.

Plus most dealerships will make sure everything works with the new key.

eMINIparts... or any MINI dealer. No other alternative AFAIK.

Pricing can and does vary ($$ to $$$). More if you have Comfort Access.
