So Mini Mee has a coolant leak.. I ordered a thermostat and housing.. Its OEM ...Should the housing be flat? I have not removed the original yet.. But if it is flat I plan to reuse it

I don't know for sure but I would think it should be flat. You really should check it with a straight edge if you have one. Your floor may not be even.

Yea but your counter top may look and feel flat but it is not precise. I would think it should be flat. Have you taken the old one off yet?

Sure did... It was flat to the counter top... I used the new one anyway.. At least it was bowed so it would be tighter in the center.. If it had been the other way I wouldn't have used it... Got it all back together .. So far no leaks.. And it still runs

It may flex a little bit when it's installed. I think the gasket in recessed in between the two parts so it may be just fine.

Check the one you take out?

Good glad to hear it. I agree with Dave. If you've had it up to running temp and no leaks it will be fine. At least till something els breaks. :D
