So I'm doing some online window shopping and I came across this piece:
JM Turbo Coopers - Mini ICI (ICE) Intake Pipe

I understand the theory about this piece. Less restriction, more flow, boost, blah, blah, blah. But will it really amount to anything other than looking pretty?

Here is a pic I found on Google images. It's the left most shiny pipe:

Just checking to see if $340 (or $440 if ceramic coated) is going to be wasted on something that wont really do anything. Kind of reminiscent of Cravens Koala piece. It was good in theory, but no gains were ever achieved with its installation.

Anything shiny adds at least 20HP, right?

It's the width more than the length that's important.

In theory it would, but with our tiny little K03 turbos thr gain would be minimal.

It's my goal on here to make every thread NSFW. It gives my life meaning. It's just how I roll.

My gut was telling me this wasn't worth it. I would look pretty though.

Just think of it like this. Is a 15K diamond ring really worth it?
I mean look what you get out of it for the rest of your life.

Not to mention if you have to buy more than one for the next girl.

Actually, that's not the best example. Jewelry is a great way to make spouses forget about track days. And headers. And Cams. And Superchargers. And forged piston. etc. etc....

My wife thinks that expensive jewelry is a waste of money. She prefers useful things that she can use or to spend money on trips.

That would be fine with me. But I'm ok bartering jewelry for modifications...

Yes... I'll have to work on a bartering system. The wife has been restless as of late when it comes to MINI parts purchases...

Lol, mine too. I was doing a pretty good job keeping it under the radar until last month, when she was like, did they charge you twice? Um, no, they didn't...lol.

Try Google Chrome, sometimes I access M/A with my tablet and Chrome and it works pretty good.

CrapaTalk is easier because I'm not just on one forum, and it automatically logs me into whatever one I want to see with just one touch of the screen.
