Alibaba, Aliexpress

Has anyone ever bought and used parts for their car from Alibaba, or Aliexpress. I was going through these websites and all the parts for the MINIs have no brand name. Are these simply knockoff parts to avoid?
What are your thoughts?

In my experience, knockoff parts save you nothing and cost more in the long run. Now, that's not every part mind you, but who wants to figure out which of the 100's of parts that make up a car today which is worth the savings.

I agree that no name / knockoff parts end up costing you more money let alone the frustration of having to do the job or having the job done again.

Don't buy crap, no name, knock off parts.

You will only end up buying OEM parts when the crap ones fail.

Why pay twice.

The OP's question inspired a google search of 'Snake Oil'. You'd think that 150 year old fact and fiction would have passed on by now. The fact is long forgotten but the fiction remains as strong as ever.
