Where can i find info on that an error code represents? Is there some list of all the possible errors and their eplanation?
All you need to do it click the "Library" button at the top of the page on the banner and follow the clicks... As far as a detailed explanation.... well.... Not so much.... More like cryptic hints...
Just like a real library.... You need to start checking things out... There isn't a stern librarian that's going the give you "the look" through those little round librarian glasses.... Just jump in there... You can even make a bunch of noise.. Just....... DO IT...
What is the code? A lot of us have had codes and can help you find the fix or at least point you in the right direction to fixing it yourself. Most of the time the direction you need to go is NOT to the Stealership for an overpriced repair bill.
You could have a loose or cracked hose leading into the crankcase if they are loose or cracked then they are letting air in causing the change in idle. If its a pending code it will clear itself if the problem no longer continues. Check all your vacuum lines and make sure all the connections are tight. What year car and model? turbo or SC or Justa?
Really good luck, I mean it. If its a pending code it will clear itself if the problem no longer continues. Check all your vacuum lines and make sure all the connections are tight. You could have a loose or cracked hose leading into the crankcase if they are loose or cracked then they are letting air in causing the change in idle.
Just before i had a CEL turned on, i had loss of boost over 4000rpm, this issue was as i say, a on and off issue, meaning that one day it was fine the other it wasn't, can this also be a vacuum line bad connection?
Yes, it could be a crack that is not big or a bad connection that is intermittent. Harder to find. I'd think about a smoke test at a shop. That will show any vacuum leaks.
I was just wondering, if its a mechanical issue (loose connections, cracks etc.) then the issue should happen all the time, it shouldn't be on and off, correct?
