Hello, hope everyone had a great weekend.

Yesterday I had time to have a look at my suspension in the rear since I was installing a Hotchkis 25.5mm Sway Bar. I need confirmation that I do indeed have the Sport Suspension for my 2007 MCS, came with 17" Crown Spoke Wheels (Sports Package). I'm not sure if having the Sports Package means it came with Sport Suspension.

    Thanks everyone!

    Systemlord.

That's a great link provided, it just doesn't help me one bit. I entered every number and "The specified part 00022235779 was not found." I tried all of the other sequence of numbers and it came up with nothing, back to square one.

Is there another way to find out whether or not this is Sport Suspension?

    Thank you.

If you enter the last 7 characters of your VIN it will return the parts your cars came with. Also, if it was supposed to be a sport suspension from the original build you can call 866-ASK-MINI and find out what options the car had on delivery.

No, Sports Package does not include sport suspension. It's an oddly named package that has nothing to do with "sports" performance. It includes things like stripes, wheels and xenon lights.

OMG, I don't have sport suspension! It feels like a somewhat stiff ride associated with what I've read since March, to think that sport suspension would be any stiffer is mind boggling, perhaps the dealer info is lacking. I'm perfectly happy with the suspension now because I wasn't ever unhappy with it, but perhaps down the road I'll get some quality coilovers. Is that a big difference in the handling of a mini between stock and sport suspension? If so what are the differences?

The sport suspension has stiffer springs, struts, and sway bars. It means less lean on turns and pitch on braking, at the expense of harsher ride. There is difference but I wouldn't describe it as a "big" difference in handling.

My 07 MCS has both sport suspension and the sport package. Each were separate options, and had to be ordered on its own.
