I just realized that nobody has asked this and it could be a real show stopper. :

"Will the older Whalen Shift Knobs fit the F56"?

Only if you put them in a vise first to flatten the sides!

Does this question in any way equate to applying lipstick to an aardvark?

So just what IS the deal with the F56? I'm in the dark..

Anyone got a picture of a nekkid shift lever?

Never mind. I just watched the first part of a video, where the goober who was demonstrating the car yanked the knob and boot right off.

I never have understood why some people pull up on a shift knob like that..

I have no fear that he will make it work, if there has been a change.

In the video I watched, when the demonstrator yanked the knob off the lever, it was obvious that the design is the same as previous.

Dimensionally, the lever could possibly be a little different; my glasses were dirty..
