Why does this hose keep backing out a little even though I've cleaned inside and tightend the band clamp as much as possible?

Are the mating surfaces oily before you clean them?

Do you have an intake? My experience was with getting everything positioned properly

Clean both surfaces and spray them with hairspray before reassembling. The hairspray will dry and keep things stuck together, but you'll still be able to take it apart if you want.

Yes it was a little oily. I thought the catchcan would do a better job. Great idea using hairspray. Gonna try it now.

Not sure which year you have.... some of the engines have a dual track PCV system.... One line goes directly to the intake manifold.... A secondary line merges just before the turbo cold side..... If your OCC is on the direct line to the intake it won't do anything for the secondary line going to the turbo....

2009 N14. The BSH catch can is connected to the cold side of turbo and the back PCV is plugged. I cleaned everything up, used a little hairspray and drove it hard just now and all is good. I did notice that the clamp was getting a bit deformed so I straightened it out before I reinstalled it.

It might back out a bit but it won't come off. Every MINI I've had has done this.
