I am replacing my upper and lower rear control arms. I was looking under the car to start planning everything for my build. I noticed that the car has rear sensors for headlight level adjustment attached to the upper control arms.

I will be replacing the upper and lower control arms with adjustable aftermarket units.I would like to retain the headlight sensor functionality with the adj control arms. How can I attach the level sensor to the aftermarket control arm?

the sensor is in line with the lower control arm adjustment nut attached to the upper control arm.

Let me know if anyone has a good solution with this.

Determine the shaft diameter of the upper control arm you plan to buy (Hotchkis?)....

Order the proper size shaft collar clamp....McMaster-Carr

Weld on a mounting tab to accept the headlight sensor arm bolt...

    Easy squeezy....

    Thank you for the info!

I have no problem fabricating parts, just wondering if anyone makes a kit for this? I have a couple customer cars slated for this same upgrade. It would be nice to be able to order the part and not spend a bunch of time on it!

If you buy the full upper/lower set of H-Sport arms they come with a little bracket and zipties.

A little Cro-Magnon, but it gets the job done for those who don't have the means to fabricate or locate a clamp of sorts.

Yeah good Thomas & Betts wire ties, not the cheap China crap.
They will not break, they have a metal clip and the only way to take them off is to cut them off.

I have a good friend that owns a machine shop. I am probably going to have him fab some brackets out of billet aluminum and have them anodized. I will post up the final product when finished.

Nick started a business selling stuff. Much like anyone else unless you are a site sponsor you can't promote your own stuff...Well that obviously is a fail with that "cryptic" post.

All this subterfusion by a few folks is making me rethink the liberalness the site allows. I know it goes on, but to rub it in my face with a post such as the above is just down right annoying.
