2nd Gen R56 Cooper S NEW MAF! Won't accept! unplugged runs great!

    ok!

    I changed the MAF brand new! I changed the Top 02 Sensor brand new...

    I disconnect battery connected both let stand 10min reconnect battery..

    Car won't start...caugh spit ..then won't run...

    I disconnect the MAF and runs smooth not much power but runs...

    codes P0100=Maf ....no kidding its unplugged
    code P113B=Maf....No Kidding its unplugged
    Code P2188=Rich Bank 1 possible spark plug gap? Oh and they are brand new plugs...

    For some reason this car will not accept the MAF!

    Anyone this thing is a PITA!..

    What happens when you put the original MAF back? What was going wrong that you needed to replace it?

    Seems like it could be a relay acting up, it's a possibility. When I have time later tonight I'll have a look at my Bentley manual. Truly strange issue you're having, the only other time these Mini's act strange is when a battery is on the verge of dying. I doubt it's the battery though which is why it could be a relay issue, only thing that makes sense at this point.

    Have you checked out the wiring at all? If there was oil in your wiring harness....
