My daughter made this for me and I told her I would see if anyone else was interested. It's a "Boot Bib". Keeps your bumper from getting all scratched up and more important keeps your pant legs from getting all dirty when you rub up against the bumper. (Remember what happened to your good slacks last summer) Comes with self adhesive Velcro to attach to the inside of the boot. She said she would make them in the color of your choice as long as it's black, green, blue or yellow. (That's the colors she bought.) Industrial grade vinyl backed polyester material. 24.95 includes shipping. PayPal please, PM for info. Will fit R56 as well. Thanks for looking.
The pooch pad for our dogs that we have in the back of our Clubman has a flap like that. Helps keep them from scratching the bumper when the get in and out. Also have some clear bra material on the rear bumper. Mark
An interesting idea. What about using clips to attach to those two loops inside the boot, and a rigid rod or bar of some kind between, to keep the whole thing from sagging in the middle? You could easily unclip and roll the whole thing around that bar for storage. Just a thought I've been kicking around for the last sever years, but never got around to actually doing anything about. My loss, it would appear. The tailpipe cutout is an interesting idea, too. Make one in pink and dress it up like a tongue...
I was helping a friend install a "Boot Bib" tonight and he pointed out that now he can sit on the bumper with the hatch up and not get his pants dirty! Maybe the next version will have a cushion sewn into it!
I saw the title for this thread, and instantly my dyslexic tendencies kicked in and my brain swapped the last letter of the last 2 words and I went...... "What...???". Then my brain fixed itself (sorta like an ECU reset) and all was then well. Sigh. Sorry. Other than that, it's a cool idea. (I need some coffee.) (Be right back.)
