The tranny on my 2015 mini cooper s is popping out of first gear intermittently. Seems to be a common problem. Brought to dealer, and tech said there is a bulletin on the issue. He said that he ordered a part (mentioned something about a bolt on top of tranny). Hope it fixes issue. Will keep members posted. I've read on the site that many have had trannies replaced by dealer. Will see what the end result is. Hope that is not the case with mine.

Wheew... I saw the thread title, and imagined something involving Thailand, and a mediocre British Youtube car review show...

Good luck with the fix, use your warranty!

So, I brought my car in to the dealer in mid July and the replacement part that is indicated in the service bulletin did not arrive until 3 weeks later. Regardless, the part, which has been described as a new shifter component, was installed. Been driving the car for several weeks, and it has not popped out of first gear once. Happy with the fix. Car was returned clean and without any scars, defects or anything bad at all. Hopefully, all good from here.
