My entire 150mi drive yesterday was supposed to be stress relieving....but no!:(
Dug right in to discover this......
What used to be the rear right shock mount bush:

Good thing, my buddy had a spare pair! Just replaced 1 for now. Both will be replaced by Powerflex next time 1 creaks.

Aww, you can squeeze a few more miles out of that bushing! It's just a flesh wound.

I actually agree, Eric. Creaking aside, nothing felt off. :)

Hmmm, I believe my rear passenger shock is toast. Sensing bumpier response on that corner. Must be the reason why that bush ended like that.....I've got an experimental hobo set of struts somewhere. Might as well try to put the rears on.

Slapped on the hobo rear Stagg shocks long in storage....Man was I surprised & impressed!!! Either they ride extremely well or toast became my normal. :D Seized RH rear killed the mount bush.
    I really hope they last!:)
    Let's see.....

i would never put a poly bushing in that position.
the shaft needs the ability to move as the suspension cycles
and if it cant it will bind, then damage the shock in a best case, worst case it will snap.

Thanks for the warning, Colin. Makes good sense. Have you or anyone seen this happen w/ PFlex shock mount bushes?
