How do I delete this? Tuner said he can't remove it as its in the firmware of the ecu, or some Greek I don't understand.

If I can remember right the bimmer guys were tricking it with some sort of resistor or something. Any tips or tricks to delete this god awful noise? I tell it to shut up but it pays no never mind.

How are guys running 5 point harnesses without being driven insane?

I already turned the sound level all the way down, now it's just whispering how annoying it is...

I hate cars that do this. Makes me sick. If I want to wear the seatbelt I'll wear it, I will not be forced.

I'm kind of surprised I haven't gotten to this sooner, but the car likes to distract me with a line of other "issues" before I ever get around to it.

I always wear a seat belt. Like you said it's your choice to forgo one of the best safety systems designed into your car. The bong can be programmed to be silent. Helix did a bunch of programming on our clubster at the dragon a few years ago. The seat belt nanny was silenced at that time.

Here you go, $20.00 each. I choose not to wear a seatbelt and hate the stupid chime. I leave them in all the time and have no chime without any coding.

I bought a set of these and red plasti dipped the ends. They are easily removable if the passenger wants to wear a seatbelt.

I wear a harness at the Dragon.

I always wear my seatbelt, but hate the MINI "chime." How can I turn it down, at least?

I may get one of those Chimex things for the passenger seat when my dog is in the car. He is just heavy enough to set off the "chime."

I just can't believe anyone would even suggest not wearing a seatbelt. :frown2:

I ALWAYS wear mine, but sometimes in the Porker the damn thing goes off anyhow!

It hasn't done it since the Dragon though, which has me thinking it was a sticky weight sensor for the passenger seat, and got worked loose on the road trip. Before that nobody had really ever ridden in that seat, so almost 5000 miles of having Jack ride shotgun might have been enough to fix it.

I don't think anyone here is telling you to wear your seatbelt, just telling you they wear theirs. That is your choice & I respect that. Don't understand it, but respect your choice to do as you wish.

I would never drive without seat belts. The school bus just shows the hypocrisy of the do gooders in the government. They tell us our kids need to be in safety seats and use seat belts. I don't mind a law saying kids must use them, they can't make that decision yet. But when we intrust our kids to them shouldn't they be required to use the same care?
