On my R50, one of these pieces looks like it was chewed apart by a parrot. But any search I've done for the replacement part is too vague because I don't know the name of the part!

It's a straight, narrow piece of plastic held on by adhesive.

    Thanks in advance!

    Thanks.

But also: WOW. $35 for a strip of plastic? By weight that costs more than silver.

Seriously, the smile that a MINI will put on your face is worth it.

Be thankful it's not made by Harley Davidson. Then it would be a Hundred Dollars.

I use that site all the time to find parts, Part #'s and approximate price.

I get a good discount from my dealer parts guy. :ihih::devil:

After you find the part on RealOEM, Google the part number and you'll find prices at online vendors.

    https://www.google.com/search?q=51367037401

There won't be much price variation if MSRP is only $35, but it pays to shop around for more expensive parts.

YUP....you will learn to be careful with ice scrapers.....and the same parts are usually changed out when the glass is changed....
and be 100% sure the clips that hold the parts are changed are swapped....the front ones also have a foam backer/gasket...not getting a new one can result in wind noise...

Guys he is only talking about the Rear C pillar which is only held on with double sided tape.

People really need to "read" the entire thread sometimes before they comment. :mad2:

He is not talking about the windshield! :incazzato:

Ah, here's another question: What does this trim piece do? Purely aesthetic?

You're obviously a new owner. Before long, you'll be saying, "Only $35? Wow, that's like FREE!".

I thought it was "Built Mine Wednesday." I've never had a real issue with any of my Beemers, so I guess they must'a all been built mid-week...
