Had my first "take it to the shop" issue with my 2012 MCS, just over two years of ownership and 49k miles.

That 1/2 engine yellow light came on a couple weeks ago on my commute home. I'd been running 60-65 in evening traffic, nothing out of the ordinary. The light came on, and of course then I had reduced power (still ran smoothly, just no turbo boost).

I used my ScanGauge when I got home, and it couldn't read a code. The light went out when I restarted, so I decided to wait to see if it would do it again.

So last Saturday: same thing, similar circumstances of steady-state highway speed, the light came on, then turned off when I restarted.

Made a service appointment for today, and diagnosis: failing HPFP, and replaced under warranty.

Seems good as new on the drive home. But my string of trouble-free miles has come to an end...

Only 2 years for you but with that mileage that would have been 3-4 years or more for some people around here.. Atleast it was free, just hope the dealer wasn't too far away, which is what makes it hard for some people even if it is a warranty item..
