After taking the seat out for cleaning I putting it back in and forgot to connect the electrical connector. When I turned the car on the airbag light came on.
I connected the seat back up but the airbag light continues to stay lit.
Is there anything that can be done to get it turned off?

That is going to have to go to the dealer or to a BMW/MINI shop that has access to the factory ECU and Body Control programming.

Where are you located, we can possibly point you to a local shop.

Take it to the dealer and have them reset it. Act like it just came on for on reason  Do not tell them you did it unless you have money in you pocket that you want to give away. It's a safety issue and under warranty.

They will also check to see if its part of the AirBag recall.

FYI - Always disconnect the battery when working on anything airbag related and do not have the key in the "on" position. (If you have a key and not a fob)

I'd call some of the independent BMW / MINI shops then. See if any have the tool. I'd imagine someone will.
