    I'd guess that piece is to fool the ECU that there is a cat on the car when there really is not. Just a guess.... :crazy:

    The down pipe includes a cat... But it's a hi flow cat that will throw a code... The add on electronic dongle fixes this...

    All you need is a $3 18mm spark plug spacer on the bottom o2 sensor to fool the car into thinking there's a full cat in there. I did this with my Akrapovic DP on my Countryman and 20k miles later still not one CEL :)

    Yes to trick the ECU about the hi flow cat.
