With the kids heading away it's time for a new ride. I'm dumping mu 11 S Conv and my 10 Honda Pilot and ordered a 2014 JCW Countryman. Should arrive the end of September. I can't wait. It will make a nice addition to the fleet. We also have a 12 Hardtop.

I'm sure you can't wait. It was really tough waiting the 10 weeks for my JCW... stay strong, brother.

Also... you're going to love it.

Congrats, we really enjoy our Countryman, JCW was not available when we ordered, guess we could upgrade. :)

This is the first car I've ordered in many years. We're very excited about this car and can't wait to take delivery.

We had a very similar story. We traded two cars in for our CMJCW(we loaded up on the options, so we had to trade a couple of cars in to keep the "out the door" price out of the stratosphere !...had it just over two weeks and we just completed the 1200 mile break in.

Now we can visit the redline any time we want to:biggrin5:

We are having a ball in this car-I think you are going to love it...ours lives in SPORT mode....the steering tightens up a lot and the throttle response is more lively.

The pedals are set up for perfect heel/toe downshifts, so keeping the turbo spun up while you are running the twisites is easily done, magnifying the fun quotient....

Enjoy yours when it arrives !

Thanks Jeff. I can hardly wait. I am looking forward to this car more than when I ordered a C6 Corvette in October 2004.

DOH! I can't go that far.....the excitement of ordering/taking delivery of my Z06 far exceeded that of the CM JCW(started putting racing Corvette posters on my wall when I was 8 years old)...The process of ordering the CM was much more fun though due to all of the options-we played around with different builds for days before ordering....had a great time.

When I ordered my Z06, the options list consisted of exactly 2 items :eek6:

The C6 as my first NEW Corvette after years of working on / restoring older ones. I promised myself I would leave it alone and just drive it. That lasted about 200 miles. By the time I was done I had added 100hp and lots of tweaks to it. Just wasn't using the car and it seemed silly to have it laying around and drive it less than 500 miles a year so off it went.

My new Countryman has moved to "scheduled for production" status as of today. YEA!

what production week did they say yours is sked for?

i ordered my JCW Paceman 7/17...was sked for production starting on 7/22...then i guess after vaca for the factory and so on mine went into production monday morning with a sked completion estimated to be tuesday...however they seem to move faster than what is predicted so it could be off the line tomorrow or monday

Im hoping as well but thats a pretty ambitious schedule...im figuring late sept maybe early oct...its going to come down to how fast it goes through QA and how long it has to wait for transport to the port and then waiting for a boat
