I have iphone 5, the wife has the 4s. 2 times in the last 3 weeks, I place a call through the car system. The car display shows the call connecting and nothing else happens in the car after that. to continue with the all, I have to change to the phone's speaker to hear. I must end the call with the phone itself. If a call comes in, none of the car's buttons will accept the call. Solutions I have tried, unpairing the phones, removing the key for a minute, restarting the phones, repairing them to the car. I did this couple of times the first time this happened and I had success until today. Our car does not have Mini Connect. Since the car buttons are rendered useless when this happens, I am thinking the car is the issue and not iOS8. Anyone else have this experience?
This is probably not extremely helpful, but I don't think it's iOS 8 either, as my Bluetooth is working fine since the update (iPhone 5s).
This isn't helpful, but I'm thinking if you are driving maybe just hang up the phone & drive. Now get off my lawn.....
They are saying iOS 8 could be the issue and a fix is coming in iOS 8.1 See Apple's iOS 8 update breaks Bluetooth car connections, fix may be coming with iOS 8.1 Then again if you ask the right columnist iOS 8 has caused global warming too.
Just because a dude wants to figure out why his Bluetooth isn't working doesn't mean that he's automatically a distracted, dangerous driver. Personally, I hate talking on the phone while I drive, but if I buy a car with Bluetooth it had better darn well work.
This is why they made Bluetooth. With all due respect, if you cannot drive AND have a conversation into a speaker just as if you were talking to someone sitting next to you, it may be a good idea to turn in your keys. In my line of work, I field phone calls regularly and do just fine with one hand on the wheel, one hand managing the sloshbox, and a mouth full of verbiage for my soldiers.
