Its about time for me to start a thread for the Porker, things are already starting to change. :)

First order of business was to make the big buttox that MINI gave it not look like a billboard, so a few days after I brought it home I fully debadged the car, with the exeption of the MINI emblem on the hood, and the giant set of wings for the hatch handle.

Then in the last couple weeks I added the MINI roof rack cross bars, for extra space when I take it camping. I got them and the rubber MINI floor liners from a MINI5280 club member cheap! ;)

Today the Pig lost its tail (rear wiper delete) and the "hidden" third brake light got blacked out so it is actually hidden.

More small cosmetic stuff will be on its way... Dechrome & color code with a twist. ;) I was going to repaint the roof and mirrors in a bright obnoxious orange, but decided against it. Instead I might do the belt line in the orange for a big pop of color. That is still up in the air though. Also I want to do a custom 3" exhaust, a good drop on coilovers and some new 18" wheels with fat, wide, and sticky summer tires. But all that will come in time. :D

The weather has been changing too rapidly on the weekends to do anything major. I think our 58 degree high today lasted about 20 minutes! :(

My MCS has NEON orange bonnet stripes, flame orange holeys and a burnt orange dragon on its sunroof, plus neon orange stickers on the boot. Under the bonnet are fiery orange Rogue dragon eyes.

First time I saw a MINI with a "tramp stamp" I could not believe my eyes!! But I do admit, the rear end of that car COULD use a bit of something to dress it up....break up that huge sheet metal bend...think a stripe would be good! Beltline stripe would be cool, more understated that painted roof or rims...
Any thought of a racing stripe for color?

Nope no stripes, I've never really cared for stripes unless they are on a Mustang... I'm thinking the screamin orange belt will suit the car best, and if I need more color, I will throw a bright orange 10' kayak on the roof! :)

Today its snowing... Not much in town yet, but I was purposely sliding around Lookout Mountain for a little joy ride! :D

Wow. It is 62° here today. I have on a sweatshirt and am thinking that it is a bit chilly.

For the first time ever, I am having trouble deciding what way I want to go with the modification process on a car! Its tricky trying to pick things I want to do without screwing myself out of having a multifunctional all purpose car.

Yeah I would love for the Porker to sit lower, but I will be going over some light off road camp trails...

Everybody wants more power, but what about keeping things reliable...

I could add a bunch of cosmetic stuff, but without changing the ride height its like putting lipstick on a pig...

I have an idea of what I ideally want to turn the Porker into, but its just keeping the functionality aspect, and keeping things somewhat discrete thats bugging me. Normally I buy a car/jeep thingy because the factory built it to be good at something that fits me, and I make it better. The R60 isn't tied down to only being good at one thing though.

I have a feeling that as my ownership of Porkchop progresses, things are going to get a little unusual from what people normally do when they mod a MINI. But, if I can pull off making it into a true multi-role vehicle, the end result might be interesting. :)

Leave the porker alone, work on and invest time and money in the RatRod.

Ther porker looks good and runs well so leave it alone for now.

NO!!! Every one of them I have ever seen lifted just looks like some wannabe donk POS!

Don't worry Dave, nothing expensive is happening until summer, and even then its going to be a slow build.

Yes Skyline drive is the road pictured in the header over on NAM... Some day, MINI5280 needs to recreate that pic. :)

Its got to be after we turn the power and water on down there... Fire up the grill at the other house, have a BBQ, and enjoy Copper Gulch road, SH-69, and 50 for a nice round trip! I will need to run a RECON ride the week before to make sure the lower MINI's can get into the driveway... Should have enough room for around 30 of us. ;)
