There is a guy on Motoring|Underground (Rally) who was advocating this product a couple of years ago. I never bought it but his car always looked amazing.

I use it on my JCW

Its a really soft wax and can actually be applied with your bare hands

Works great on dark coloured cars - its fantastic on my Eclipse grey JCW

Thankfully I frequent M|U, I'll reach out to him and ask his opinion. Thanks for the insights everyone.

You can try that or use Dodo Juice Blue Velvet PRO Hard Wax.

Dodo Juice Blue Velvet PRO Hard Wax, dodo juice car wax, wax for dark paint, wax with sealant

I would buy the small sample sizes to see what one works best before you invest in the $60 and up sizes.

Supernatural works great on all colors especially light colors but I would only use Purple Haze on dark colors Red, Black, Dark Green.

Here is some good info on Dodo Juice and what wax is for what color.

Based on that chart I could go with purple haze or rainbow rub.

Let me know what Rally says and how this works out for you. I've got an Absolute Black JCW Countryman coming my way soon and am getting ready to prepare for detailing it. I know it's going to be a labor of love keeping that car looking its best.

He spoke highly of it. I think I'm going to go with a combo of dodo's hard candy and rainforest rub. I'll get purple haze on the backside and see if I like a layer of HC + RR or HC + PH better. Auto geeks.net has a deal where you get 2 waxes for around 20 bucks.

Just ordered the smaller options for rainforest rub and hard candy. Looking forward to seeing his it works.

Personally, I think the caranuba wax you can buy anywhere works just as well as the high dollar stuff. Really just my opinion because I am sure it could be debated.

Your are right all carnauba wax is the same but it's the amount of pure #1 brazilian carnauba you get and what else is mixed in with it.

Some companies substitute bees wax and other natural waxs and fillers and only use a little carnauba and still get away with calling the wax "Carnauba".

It's not all the same. There are various grades of carnuba. Then there is a Yellow and a White version.

Add to that the fact that most off the shelf waxes are only 5% carnuba, the rest is fillers and stuff to make it spreadable. Pure carnuba is very hard and in flakes. You can't spread it on a car.

Got the smaller sizes of rainforest run and hard candy about a week ago, but haven't used them yet.
