hi, what do you think about this? is possible to fit an individual throttle body on r53 engine? could be gainings?

I have a vipec ecu and fmic
I gave a look a itb from jenvey:

BMW Mini - SF40 Throttle body kit - Jenvey Dynamics

I think that realizing a custom plenum around the itb could it fit , perhaps the issue is the the connection from down inlet air of sc to bypass valve

No real thoughts on this yet but I did adjust the thread title to make it more visible as to what the thread subject matter is about.

Maybe on a N/A car, and yes you probably would need the Vipec to tune it, but why would you go through that much trouble to also have to figure out a way to boost through or around those.
IMO, very cool but a lot of time, effort and money for what would ultimately be minimal if any gain, unless maybe in a heavily regulated, race situation, where you have to try every & any thing you can to get that last hp, without breaking a rule.

Oh, all that being said, it would be very cool to open the hood of a Justa & see those. :D

^^^^ Yeah on a Justa it would really be just for show and add not much more go.

It may also look cool on one of those silly bagged Minis in Cali that love that low and slow and no go look.

I suspect the engine sound might be different also. Having all that air being sucked into the engine in parallel as opposed to a single intake manifold. My only concern is the air going into the horns would be warm air from that location of the engine bay, unless you use the bonnet from a Cooper S and direct cold air from the scoop into the front of the engine. In that case, you would be possibly introducing some lift to the front end of your car, due to the airflow.

    Lots to think about.....

Usually that kind of set up is for getting some high flowing air at high rpms.

Yup - with large cams, big compression and 48mm ITB's and a great flowing stock head my VW's power curve tapered off @ 9200 rpm
