I have led side marker lights. Let me fire up the laptop and see if I can find what bulbs they were.

cool thanks. I like that they wouldn't blow, they're brighter use less power. win win . Does the link refers to the side light bulbs?

If they are Amber LEDs they look better with a smoked lens.

"sidelight" is the British term for front parking/running lights. Is that what you are talking about, Rally? But then you said 4 blown bulbs, which doesn't match up.

Pardon my British LOL. front side light(next to turn signal light) and side marker lights are the same bulbs, 2 for the front, and 4 for the side marker lights. I wanted to replace those bulbs with LED.

My link is indeed the side light bulbs. One other reason I went with them is the fact that they are sealed. No way for moisture to dork the circuits. I know they are encased in housings and all, but they do tend to leak over time.

    That was my logic, anyway.

    Not really... but thanks.

Not to completely jack the thread... but if anyone is thinking about buying a set for themselves, and is planning on being at the dragon this year, someone might want to set up a group-buy to help save on shipping. Just a suggestion. I know when I bought them, I paid 2 or 3 times as much for the shipping as I did for the actual bulbs.

One thing I've noticed in CR is the increase of those huge LED light strips on 4x4's . I saw a strange glow coming up behind me like the close encounters movie and wondered what it was. I don't see how they are legal but hey it's CR

You should have seen the light bar that Gennello had on the Wildebeest at the dragon two years ago. That thing lit up the whole road from our cabin to the top of the hill by the bar.

I'm going to be in the US but I'd not sure if I'll be going due to other priorities. Yes I know Mini should be #1 priority..lol of course I'd love to go.

I read something about LED bulbs throwing codes, is this an issue?

Nope. I have had them in the car for well over a year now. No issues. I only have them in the scuttles, though. The rest of my marker lights are incandescent bulbs that glow amber, but have a silver coating to make them less visible through the lenses. http://www.detroittuned.com/silver-turn-bulb/
