- History:
- Mini has been traded in...someone will get a great R53!!
Ok the title may be a bit of an exaggeration, but I have had quite a few MINI's over the past several years (3 in 4 years to be exact). So this is the latest and last for quite awhile, if I want to stay married. I am the third owner, of this pretty well cared for MINI. While it needs some work, overall it is a good inexpensive toy...Oh and the best part is, I bought it from a guy on Craigslist and didn't get raped or killed!
So my project MINI is just about complete...for now...As these things usually do they begin to take on a life of their own. So here is what has been done to this point:
-Valve Cover Gasket Replaced
-Spark Plugs/Wires Replaced
-PCV Valve Replaced
-Supercharger Replaced with one from an '04 with 35,000 miles (I wanted to find '05 or newer but couldn't find one)
-Water Pump Replaced
-Thermostat and Housing Replaced
-Crank Position Sensor O-Ring Replaced
-Belt Tensioner/Idler Pulley Replaced/New Drive Belt
-Oil Pan Gasket Replaced
-Power Steering Fan Replaced
-Power Steering Return Line Replaced
-Air Conditioning Compressor Replaced
-Low Speed Fan Resistor Replaced
-Lower Control Arm Bushings Replaced
-Steering Rack Replaced
-Passenger strut mount Replaced
Still needs attention:
-Small rust bubble on the boot and door still rust, fortunately neither are very serious.
