Is it possible to install something like this on an '06?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLACK-STITCH-FITS-BMW-MINI-ONE-COPPER-S-R50-R53-2001-2006-DASH-LEATHER-COVER-/350686882683?hash=item51a6912b7b:m:mZkA8XwzdWmK5mmwMgBkTiw&vxp=mtr

The description says it'll fit, but I'm wary about how the airbag will deploy in case of an accident. Is there a way to cut an opening for the airbag into this cover maybe? Has anyone else done this before?

I have a leather with gray stitching shift and e-brake boot from this company already and they're fit and finish is fantastic, would love to have the same on my dashboard :)

It should work. There are no airbags in that part of the car.

It's just a skin to be glued onto the plastic and won't interfere with the airbag operation. In '06, the entire dash top piece lifts up along the front edge and the airbag deploys through the opening.

I have the leather on the front part of the dash. I would think doing the top part would be more difficult.
