Adjusting Boot Latch?

Anyone know how to adjust the boot latch? Mine started rattling a bit. I think the dealer fixed it for me when I first got the car, but I never bothered to find out what they did.

There are 2 knobs on the hatch door, rubber thingies, they screw in and out. Screw them out a 1/4- 1/2 a turn, try it, another turn if not enough.

If that fails to be the fix, wrap E-tape on the metal hoop on the hatch door. It will last a few months, depending how often you open/close the hatch.

You can also adjust the hoop by pulling out the trim piece if nothing else works.

Adjusting those rubber knobs worked great for me.

Rubber knobs didn't solve the problem. Will have to try to adjust the latch hoop.

The latch is on a couple of slide bolts. Just loosen them and adjust the latch.

Do you have the chrome or black hoop? The black one is the replacement for the chrome one (there is a TSB on it).

I think it might be BRG now. I know it was replaced/fixed back in the day after I first got the car. But a rear ender later, it now needs to be adjusted.
