I was driving my wife's Volvo today and reached for the center stack to lower the driver's window. Of course, the switch is on the driver's door armrest. :frown2:
What's unfortunate about this is that if you were in a 2013 or newer CM, they would have been exactly where the Volvo's are...boooooooooooo! I never can figure out where the window switches are, moving between my car and my wife's CM !
And why the need to move the gas cap to the other side..... I pity the owner of multiple gen MINI's....
For safety reasons - when you run out of gas and you're putting gas in the tank from a gas can, you'll be standing on the side of the car away from traffic.
I'll mention finding reverse...in a different spot on all three of our vehicles...all of which have "custom" shift knobs with no pattern reminder. Have to ponder just for a second, "which one is this? Oh yeah." Right and forward, Left and forward, or Right and back. Just need an air-cooled VW to complete the set.
This brings up a daily occurance for me too......I have driven a Dodge Dakota truck for work for the last 8 years. I average 80-90 miles a day compared to the 5K a year average on my MINI. I still find myself looking at the "center" stack for info and reaching for the wrong steering wheel stalk to work the wipers when in the work truck....
