Please share your favorite iPhone mounts. I have an R53, and am tired of just placing the iPhone in the drink holder mounted on the right downtube. It is just not optimal.

Cravenspeed makes a great one: Holder for iPhone, Ipod and BlackBerry devices.

Add on a short connector so you can see it through the steering wheel. I can't remember which one mine is; the 1" or 3" "bones" would work. Call 'em up and chat, they're nice over there.

Here's mine (ipod and iphone both fit well, all buttons accessible):

I use the KUDA mount with PDA holder and swivel:

Is that the Kuda mount for the GPS?

I have both. GPS and iPod are both KUDA mounts.

I have struggled finding "just the right" mount for me. The Kuda looks to be a great solution but is a bit more than I want to spend. I don't want to use a cupholder mount because it would be nice to be able to use both cup holders for, cups?

The Craven mount is nice but too far for the cable. Don't want a windshield mount (ugly and too far for the cable). I might be convinced into using a stick on type mount on the passenger side of the stack but I'd rather not go that route.

I'm not sure what the perfect mount would be for me... Kuda is close but too pricey but I may have to break down and spend the $.

I use a craven mount for the GPS, and a proclip iPhone mount stuck to the dash with 3M tape... both work well. I've tried LOTS of different mounts to finally end up with this combination. Sorry - no photo handy

Ok. for the iPhone Proclip, I am definitely going to need some pics. Does it stay in place firmly, meaning can you rotate it for landscape viewing and it all still holds together?

Yep - stays in place firmly. Can rotate to any orientation. Where I have it, it's partially obscured by the steering wheel - which is fine with me, but might not be fine with some folks.

This is the one - I'm using the adjustable one so it works fine with my iPhone skin:
ProClip Mounting System - Apple iPhone 3G - Adjustable Holder with Tilt Swivel

I just use 3M tape to affix the back of the swivel directly to the face of the painted dash panel to the right of the steering wheel. Holds very securely, looks fine, and is 100% reversible. No need for a mounting clip of any kind.

Hey Paul, that looks pretty useful. Thanks for the specific link, I do like the adjustable (i.e. swivel) aspect of the holder. I may have finally found my mount/holder.:D

Now, go take a quick pic with the iPhone and post it with Tapatalk. Please!

The photo of the holder without the iPhone in it isn't very exciting... and even I'm not fast enough to pull the phone out of the holder snap the pic before the photons are already gone. But I'll get a pic with my regular camera soon.
