Promo tires for Hankook to promote the "green" orange oils using the making of the Ventus V12 Evo.

The tires use orange oil in place of part of the petroleum usually used.

A friend made some clear polyurethane tires for a commercial, they wanted to put lights inside of the tires.

The problem was that polyurethane tires expand with heat and they don't conduct heat to cool off, like petroleum based tires. They would eventually get too big to fit in the wheel wells.

But they looked real cool at night at low speeds!

So, different than the tires they sold a few years back (here's hoping past tense is correct) that would make colored smoke.

Ok now that is kinda cool!

The possibilities are endless if the tires put off color--multi color burn outs with tires and smoke, smoke rings, etc.

I remember a few years back at Mid Ohio, some cars with colored tires were black flagged because the colors were marking the track in colors other than black.

If this weren't strange enough, apparently Kumho made tires designed to smell like something other than rubber. Kumho Ecsta DX Aroma.

I think they should do this for drag tires. :biggrin5:

I'm all about color coordinating but think that is alittle much..The tread or the space between the tread needs to be black and then you might could get by with it.. Would like to see a price on them though..

aahhhh...not! I think if I went to track and smelled anything other than fuel and burning rubber I would have to leave. Although you could coordinate them up with these...

Those are nice, but are a tad too bright [kinda look like an orange creamsicle]. The ones on my Royal Gray R53 are a perfect fiery dark orange and they really make the dark gray pop and compliment the sunroof dragon perfectly!
