So, I took my MINI in to Sewell MINI for an oil change, and they gave me a new Cooper with the 3-cylinder turbo as a loaner for the day (which wasn't a bad drive), and I park in a parking garage, get out, look down and see this gremlin-looking face projected on the ground. Huh?

The Sewell Service advisor tells me there are a number of images available for the under-door light.

    Can somebody "enlighten" me?

    Like these (but more gremlin-y)?

There are some cheesy variations. I don't find any of them appealing personally, but they seem like an easy install.

Yeah, I'll try to take a snapshot of it tonight. They found some oil leaks (oh, what a surprise) so I have the loaner car for another day. My extended warranty expires on Sunday, so the thousand dollars worth of repairs will only cost me 100-bucks for the deductible. But, I digress.

When I first saw the gremlin on the ground, I actually looked up to the parking garage ceiling. LOL. Then I realized that it moved with the movement of the door.

I do think it is fun that the MINI dealership put it on a free loaner. I wonder how many people notice it.

BTW, here is yet another plug for Sewell MINI. Their loaner cars have tolltags, so they pay for my tolls while I drive their car all over Dallas, and I don't have to bring the car back with the same amount of gasoline. I can pick it up full of gas, and bring it back on fumes.

Now projecting an image of a trodden-on dog turd onto the ground would be cool. Otherwise, I vote for cutesy.

I had custom lens made for mine. Sent them this picture and they made the lens. Don't have a picture of it in action because I can't install it in my new car until it comes back from the body shop. This is what it looks like. I got mine from a company called Wind Fire Auto. They looked good in my R56.
