This may be the wrong place to post this, and the mods should feel free to move it, but... I notice a lot of members not having their location in their avatar area. I do confess, I was guilty of that for a pretty long time, but it was an oversight. I'm old and haven't completely worked out this internet forum thing. My bad. I assume it was an oversight for a lot of other members, unless you are in the witness protection program. I like knowing where other members live, especially if they live somewhat close to me. Hey, let's do lunch. CD
Walter lives in Hilliard Ohio, a suburb of Columbus. Along side his sister the "Sunshine Express". A tangerine scream Focus ST. The wife's car.
My MINI lives in a carpeted garage in West Chester, PA just outside of Philly. Oh and I work from home so my car stays nice and clean.
I want to be Daver O when I grow up.... My Mini lives in a shared garage. Not carpeted. Serious detailing when available. I bought a orbital polisher last year at the Dragon from Dave O. I am hoping it came with all the good polishing 'karma' that Dave injected into the polisher.
The Runt lives out on the driveway in the home of the Blues where the best BBQ on earth is made. Yes Memphis! For you in the lone star state you can keep working on your BBQ.
Bitsy Mae sits outside my townhouse next to her sister, Molly Mariner in Fayetteville GA(20 min. south of ATL). Working on getting her a garage within the next couple years. She gets polished at least once a month, cleaned once a week inside and out.
Mini lives in Northern California. The real Northern California where there is snow and trees and lakes. Motor on #kcco.
Best booze shop in existence I also miss being able bo buy New Glarus beer. Once you leave Sconnie, you can't buy it anymore. When I go back I ship myself a few cases. ****'s like gold down here.
Mine lives outside the garage (the Jag lives in the garage) in Overland Park, Kansas.....a suburb of Kansas City. However, you Memphistians and Texans can both keep working on your BBQ, as we ALL know where the best BBQ in the world comes from and that's KC!
You guys can all claim the best BBQ and I will agree with you all because I like them all. Philly has the one and only REAL cheesesteak. Many have tried to duplicate it but NEVER have.
RD the 11 CM and my Countryman PL both live in the nice garage in Louisville, Colorado. If we left them outside, they both would be yellow with pollen, it is the season or getting pounded by our afternoon rains and hail. BBQ debate can now continue. :cornut:
I agree on regional BBQ. I like them all, even though the differ quite a bit. Texas BBQ is all about the beef -- particularly brisket. It is hard to do it right, but when it is done right, it is fantastic. I've had good cheesesteak outside of Philly, but there is no place on earth other than around Philly to get a good Hoagie. BTW, my office is at home, too, so my MINI stays in the garage a lot. No carpet. ut: CD
For awhile, they experimented selling in Illinois--until one vendor refused to pull beer past its expire date. New Glarus pulled out of the state entirely, good for them...The FIBS deserve it.
For awhile, New Glarus experimented selling in Illinois--until one vendor refused to pull beer past its expire date. New Glarus pulled out of the state entirely, end of experiment, good for them...The FIBS deserve it. I stop at the Chill Zone every time I'm in the area--they carry high end reserves that are very hard to come by.
The MINI's live with my boys. All of us are in Minneapolis MN as noted in my sig, where there is real snow and trees too....and good'n f'n cold in the winter. But for proper reference I am 4.5 hrs away from the Chill Zone as I am Wisconsin adjacent. I am 30 feet away from my grill which can approximate numerous BBQ's but never does properly duplicate any of the regional powerhouses mentioned......:beer
