Well...if you are looking for a new MINI, be it the gen3 or the very last of any 2nd gen still on the dealers, I got an email from USAA today.... They are offering $1000-500 off EXTRA on any car (model dependant) off the lowest true-car pricing that NORMALLY includes all discounts...it appears wording that it can be used without their car buying/true-car service....and is good for sales or leases... So if you are a USAA member, this extra discount on a very low true-car price might be a good deal for you.
Think it is readable...here it is. Again, might be worthwhile if a USAA member, and to be honest, I used them for many services...banking, insurance, and occasionally other items like this. Honestly a great company to deal with in my experience.
Been a USAA member since I was 16...great company! But lets be honest...all F56s should be killed with fire...so maybe this is a fire sale?? :biggrin5::biggrin5::biggrin5:
I just got an email from MINI USA saying they'll chop even more off the price- http://click.email.miniusa.com/t/gfhbDgBKIPBoQE3TiFBKtL-X9aCLV9F3DE3uaaaaBKPpBL0OHR7aaL-X9CLV9?n=8v9w8z717t7v8t8t8@2BvEvE&X=jdhkuT1_bjevnk.Vvf&lX=jdhkuT1_bjevnk.Vvf&s=6-j&4=&k=%23

USAA proudly serves millions of military members and their families with competitive rates on insurance, banking and investment services.
And the children of them....well run enough as a bank and financial company , while it was once officially a co-operative, them a mutual, the ownership structure changed....many companies ding you credit and insurance wise if yu have frequent moves...and call you "high risk"...that is WHY USAA was founded. ...."members" still get a yearly check back as their share of the profits....goes up by the numbers of years you are a member...my father been a member since the 70's and his check pays for just about 100% of his car insurance... Honestly, they are imo a pleasure to deal with, be it a mortgage or a car crash. They know you are the reason thet exist, and treat folks with a very high level of ethics and tech... Was amoung the first banks in the USA with check scanning for online deposits to their bank....think I was doing it back in the early 90's...then scanning checks by phone, Android pay, etc... Yes, I am all in...and reccomended anybody who can use their services to check them out....they have loosened membership requirements lots in the last few years....once you had to join within months of leaving the military as a commissioned of officer , but now some states are ok as residents for some services...think all TEXAS residents are ok now. Honestly....how often you you talk to folks who LIKE or LOVE their insurance company and would not consider switching? That's how good they are.
And a quick story about why I have come to be a USAA lover... My wife and I got a mortgage on out first house through USAA... They said (at the time) they would always service the loan, but it might be sold.... Loan was sold to GMAC, no issues for a few years...the banking implosions hit...and GMAC declares bankruptcy...now the court voided all for GMAC contracts, our loan, and servicing was sold to "green tree" a scumbag company who cashed our checks. But then would fail to apply it to the loan and then try to charge you a fee....this was even when they cashed the check more than 2 weeks before the due date...the $$ would appear on the loan, but never be "applied".... Talked to USAA....they said sorry, that's not right....had us write a statement for a possible law suit,...guess it was a common issue... USAA could see the dates the checks cleared....next they refinanced our loan at a lower rate, for free...basicly prime....and they then changed their corporate policy to never sell their new loans. USAA as a bank stepped in, and went out if their way, took a $$ hit, and fixed a problem. That's what they do, cause ethically the loan was always supposed to be serviced by them..... They came to our house, we did the papers, and bam, fixed. Guess they did it for many people. The amazing thing is were we upsidedown at the time....and they said, don't worry....we will handle it on the back end. Done. Loan was the lowest number we had seen, online, or elsewhere....the gentleman who came to our house to di the paperwork actually asked who we knew cause for a zero points, zero fee loan, it was the lowest rate he had ever seen. It kinda like having a friend watch you back....that's why folks love USAA.
While on hold today calling my dealership they played an add saying the will give anyone $2500.00 and new clubman in stock.
The guy they were recalled.... something about bad side impact airbags.... Safety recalls seem to be a much too common occurrence lately with MINI....ouch.
Yup....seems every new car they introduce is a crap-fest.... Recalls....for everything....not enough foam in the rear sides....airbags with unperforated fabric now covering them....what next....ouch...
Fortunately I have only had a couple claims with USAA over the last 21 years...however my Parents and their seemingly bad luck have had a bunch in the last 10 or so years. While they have watched several neighbors get f__ked by State Farm, Geico, Farmers, etc...USAA has never threatened to dump them or raise their rates...USAA is amazing and one of the very, very few companies that actually cares about their members more than money!
