It was a dry month and MINI dealers with the F56 still a few weeks from its official on sale date. As expected sales were down big time with a decrease of 39.8 percent from the 6,071 automobiles sold in the same month a year ago. Year to date, MINI USA reported a total of […] More...
Afraid to step up and support your never ending yapping about how the F56 won't sell? There has to be someone out there that regular attends MOTD and believes that the F56 (even if they don't like it) will be a big seller with it's increased technology, upgraded interior, upgraded performance, and increased fuel efficiency.
I am sure you had some kind of point to make but you failed. Motor On! Try reading what the post was about before you chime in next time. Oh and the new F'ed 56 is ugly inside and out and the mileage is not as great as they post EVER. Don't get me started on all the BS tech. The F'ed 56 is and ugly POS so get over yourself already and go drive your GTI.
I understand that sales are currently down and you are claiming that the F56 will result in them staying down. I think Mark made a good point in his review that even though the "enthusiast" might not buy it, it will still be a big seller (which is what it seems that Jim believes as well). So what exactly am I missing. Being ugly to an enthusiast doesn't equal poor sales.
I think the F56 range will be a big seller. I'm also getting sick of this bashing of the F56. This site is inclusive of all MINI owners. From Classic to the guppy mouthed F56. Get over it and let it be, welcome the new people that will joining with the 3rd gen MINI, don't chase them off.
Key words: all MINI owners. The owners are all welcome, its just the car that is ugly. ..... Also we were talking about eyelashes.
Dave, I can sit in a Camry and not like it, doesn't mean I think it won't sell. We already know you don't like the F56, but why won't it sell? Wrong pricing or marketing? You keep saying "it's ugly". The Nissan Juke exceeded sales expectations.
Ok a Camry is a 4 door car, cheap for what it is and is bulletproof quality built. Any MINI or BMW is not a bulletproof quality built car and they are overpriced for what you get. People read crap like consumer reports and will buy a Ford Focus or other cars that are more appealing to the eye and better built.
And I'm happy with my R56.... And have absolutely no problem if a R53 wants to park next to me and be bathed with some of the R56's extra golden radiance.... Just don't park too close....
MMS I agree. I am perfectly happy with my R56 GP. No issues and don't mind who parks next to it. Heck even Dave O. Can park the highly modified R53 next to me. It can only make that R53 look a bit more classy parked by my GP.
Dave, as the owner of an R56 Justa, I took a lot of crap on NAM and M/A. My car was bashed all day long and it got tiresome. Rum4 got his GP2 ripped so bad he was ready to leave at one point. You can say "it's all in good fun" or "I am who I am and don't care what others think", till the cows come home, but it still gets old. All the bashing of the F56 and you are not the only one doing it, will not hurt the sales of the F56 at all, but it will hurt M/A. Mt Jim stated that the bashing of the R56 did not make folks leave, but do we know that for a fact? How many new members logged on, introduced themselves, read a bit and left? Nathan has a lot of stats, but I doubt that can be judged. I can tell you for a fact, that when I buy an F56, nobody here will ever know it. Just the way I see it.
