I have a customer who bought a Roadster from me... wrecked his Tesla into a pole because he was too busy playing with the monstrous touch screen. YMMV.
As far as I'm concerned there is no need for all this touch screen stuff... With all of the distractions that occur with day to day driving, the last thing that needs to be added is another distraction.... Crikey.... My Garmin GPS touch screen is distracting enough, it even warns not to use it when the car is in motion. I wouldn't buy a car with a touch screen that worked while the car was in motion.
When I bought my GTI one of the must haves was NO damn touch screen carp. I'm an analog guy living in a digital world. As time goes by it will be impossible to not get a touch-o-matic car.
