Welcome to the world of everyday unremarkable (except how commonly butt ugly it is) appliances.

I can't stand the look of it, when I first saw it on FB, seriously, I thought it was a joke. It looks like something Kia would come up with. I can't believe people are showing it a little love on the non-LXM FB page. It's just hideous.

After you have driven the new clubman for a few days, the new 2017 Countryman looks nice!

Of course, I am a perverse individual and have two Countrymans at this time, I like it. But the real test is how it looks in person as I view it from all aspects.

If an FJ cruiser mated with virtually any Kia, it's offspring would look like the new countryman...

Saw a mock up of the base Cooper--are they seriously thinking of putting those lights on it too?

And the new MINI bashing continues...

    Le sigh.

They earned it. When BMW takes the many criticisms of the new styling to heart, but then manages to come up with something even worse, taking the brand to new levels of unsightliness, worthy of a Monty Python skit, well then yes.

I can just see the conversation in the design room: "If they thought our last effort was bad, wait 'til they get a load of this!"

Or, if you like Monty Python, "MINI is no more; MINI has ceased to be, it is bereft of life, it rests in peace--this is, in effect, an ex-MINI."

It's so bad that if "Breaking Bad" had come out in 2017 Walter White would be driving one.

I actually like the Clubman and the '17 Countryman. Wouldn't be ashamed to drive either.

The underbite on the F56S has grown on me even.

And I still love my R53. Anyways...

This reminds me of a few years ago when Mazda put their smiley face front end on almost all their cars. They eventually went another direction luckly. Maybe MINI will too on the next Gen Model..

I thought it was just angry that people got in it's way. With the idea of other drivers will see the angry face and move over.

Meh, I kinda like it, though I'd probably need to black out at least one of those chrome rings around the grille.

So far all of the new MINI's look like they are from and for the JDM. Just plain weird looking.

The original "Minis" actually came in a variety of forms, including commercial vehicles, so the four-door thing is not out of line with history. In fact, the first Minis were basically cheap utility cars, like the first VW Beetles. They didn't become "sports cars" until later. Eventually, people will want to race anything with wheels.

The Clubman and Countryman are not out of line with Mini history -- like them or not.

4 door Mini's never seen one. Unless you count the MG 1100 & Austin America as a Mini.

Not too common. But they existed.
