I have what seems to be an unusual glitch. I use Google Chrome to do my searching. When I click on the Google Chrome icon I will get Google Chrome about half the time and the rest of the time I get Yahoo. I've searched my programs to delete Yahoo and every where else I can think of and I can find no reference to Yahoo. I would like to delete the Yahoo function but can't figure out how.

If you're kind enough to respond you really have to talk down to me. I joke with my friends that I'm so computer illiterate that when I get in to Google I'm already over my head. That's closer to the truth than I like to admit.

If it's not a default search engine thing then you have a malware issue. Go get, install, and run Malwarebytes. It's free.
