Dislike really seems like a not harsh enough word here. I really hate this place. I dread coming to work on a daily basis and have to remind myself that I have to pay for my house and car. My management team is so far beyond incompetent, my team is extremely short staffed and excessively over tasked. Yet they just keep throwing more work on our desks, most that make no sense that we are even doing it and they want to wonder why people are leaving the area like rats abandoning a sinking ship. I need to get out before I just up and tell them where to stick this job with anatomic specificity. I'm applying all over the place, but all I seem to get is rejections or ignored. I have 10 years experience in banking/finance, you would figure that would translate well and look good, but nope. For the life of me I can't get away from this soul sucking company. If anyone has a lead in the area, please let me know. :cornut:

Wish I could help, but I agree life is too short to spend it hating your job. I worked at my last employer far too long after the ownership change. Once you find it intolerable you need to go, but do find another before you jump!

    Good luck.....

That could potentially be worse than working at Chase! I am so ready to just ship, but so far I haven't gotten a single hit. And things in my department are about to get a whole lot worse. Don't get me wrong, I am happy for my coworkers that are getting promotion, and one really deserves it. Her and I started in the dept about a month apart 5 years ago, and she has 16 years here. But I would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous of her for it.

Sadly that would be quite a pay decrease, and I'm pretty sure I would get really fat working at the North Market! Sooooo much good food there!

At least at MAG, all ya gotta do is either sell MINIs or sit at the service desk and field all the customer complaints. Just think of all the M0M buddies who will come and make your life an even worse living Hell....

Apok, if you are interested in coming out East to Jersey I could see if the bank I am at has anything that would fit you. Depends on how big of a change you are looking to make right now. :)

I feel for you, I think everyone has been in that situation once (or more).

I have. And not to rub it in for anyone in that situation but I'm so glad I'm

retired. Its amazing the things one does for your family and yourself. Good

    luck.

And that's why I retired at age 55 back in 1989. I had a job I hated but I stayed too long and allowed myself to get locked in by the benefits I would get at retirement. At that point I had no option but to stick it out. Of course looking back and seeing how everything played out I am grateful I stuck it out. However, it was tough.

Those benefits are what kept me going, I figured there was light at the end of the tunnel, there was and I am starting to reap some of them. I guess the big question is "was it worth it". I missed a lot of "family events", spent months away, totaling up to years in the end. I have regrets but I was/am trying to provide for the present and future.
I cant afford to live off of what I would be happy doing, and honestly I am not sure what that is to begin with, haven't really grown up yet. But what ever it is I would be at the bottom of the pecking order and there are bills to pay.

I hope you find something, something you enjoy doing. You would be what I consider one of the lucky few.

I know a number of people that work at Chase. Some love it others hate it. But from what I gather is they play the golden handcuffs game. Paying you more then you'll find else where so you stay. I use to work at a place just like that. It was worth the pay cut to get away from the abuse. Although I did have to relocate.
