Let's not forget ye olde Jimmy Dean's English favorites...BLOOD sausage and some tripe for good measure!
First thing I do when in GB is get a proper full English breakfast. Sets everything right for a great day.
I've had bubble & squeak, mighty good. Now the thing at the start of this thread should be named wretch & gag. Note eating thems things.
Ever try them? They are quite a delicacy in countries involved in bullfighting. Mostly, they are large and served two to a plate with some sort of gravy. However, sometimes they are really small, as sometimes, the bull WINS!
Yuck! your all sick. When I was a kid we lived in Hong Kong. There was nothing better than a trip to the meet market!
Well.. Some traditional dishes that sound iffy CAN BE GREAT... I remember getting a terrific kidney pie (once you get by what kidneys filter) with a great ale back when I was on a high school trip to England... Was kind of funny...but it was what was served, so I was happy to drink it ...(yes it was a public school)...heck did taste better than the nasty French "table" wine we got in France with dinner.....our school had the view back then, of "when in Rome, do as the..."... But both were far better than the Tripe we were served in the USSR a week later.....talk about gross...
