I resolve to not make New Years resolutions but to create and commit to long term goals with defined milestones. Thats my resolution, what's your's?
I'm terrible with New Years resolutions just because beginning a new year on its own isn't generally enough motivation for me to do anything big... However, maybe in 2015 I will finally be able to see my abs. I can feel them pretty easily under that little layer of flab...
A new resolution just because it's time to change the calendar on the wall? No thanks, I'm happy with the way my monitor looks just as it is.
I'm going to not turn back to smoking... Its been a few days since the last one, and even after a few beers, I'm not missing it
I guess I'm in agreement with Nathan. My is more a continuing resolution. It started a little more than a year ago, after a bad night. It caused a lot of introspection. It's a commitment I have to renew each day. I finaly excepted that I am the only thing I can change. My faith has taught me to never look at others only my self and leave the rest in the hands of the one I serve. As I sit here on the first day of the new year and look back on where I was 11 months ago I am amazed. It has been a long road and I have a long way to go, but the ship is finally starting to turn. So each day I resolve to be the best husband, dad, brother, friend and true to my calling. It's funny but I have remembered how to smile, forgot to be grumpy and have found that positive person I haven't seen in 30 years. I owe it all to the one I serve
continual improvement Not a new resolution (but worth renewal) is to keep adhering to my sig. - a persistent pursuit of ignorance reduction. Mind you, seeing my abs would be nice too, of course... :biggrin5:
But you rolled with such grace... Then kept going dragging a wheel and the rear suspension for the extra style point bonus!
Can you believe this bloke came up to me after the roll and said. "that was amazing, we fans need more rolls like that, it was clean, no fans or crew were injured and no one died. A clean crash. If more cars crashed like than the sport would be more popular!" I was speachless! not planning on making any more rolls!
I've thought it over and decided I'm going to resolve to drive my MINI at least one day each week. I drove it on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, so I'll wait'll next week ta drive it again...
Thats a good idea! I really need to put some miles on Isobell when she gets going again, so I might do the same. Except for the winter months when it goes back onto storage insurance... Cant beat $5 a month for insurance on a car that cant be driven for 60% of the winter.
