You have one. You know you do. The car that you're dreaming of right now. I'm not talking about the purple Lambo with spinners that you'll never be able to afford, I'm talking about the car that, in a moment of total financial irresponsibility, you could manage to get against your better judgement. Second mortgage, sell a kidney, whatever it takes. I tend to be infatuated with my 'IT' car for years at a time. I did once pull it off and bought my 'IT' car (a 2001 M Coupe that I bought in 2004), but usually I just pine for it until something takes its place. As an example, for several years, my 'IT' car was a Lotus Elise:

But it has now been replaced by the A.M. V8 Vantage.

What's your 'IT' car right now???

Okay, now wait a minute! If you could conceivably afford a P1, Mr. Zapski, then what the hell you hanging out with us for??? I'm talking about a car that's just withing irrational financial reach. The one that, when you bring it home for the first time, there's a 40% chance your marriage is done.

The Elise is very high on my list, but I'm going to have to go with the Porsche Cayman GT4.

    some force fed Audi

As a many years Audi Master tech, the offerings since 06 continually beckon to me-I am torn between 06-08 S4 v8 cars (avants-small hatch wagons-are the coolest)and later supercharged cars, with an occasional longing for an S6 with the V10. Undoubtedly at current used prices I will own one or more of them in the near future!
