Indeed, and for those of us who weren't devoted to the show and/or cast before the sacking, etc, it's just a change and there's no way to know whether it will be entertaining until it airs. I figure it'll also take a new cast/crew a few episodes to find their footing so I plan to give it more than just the chance to make a good first impression.
Top Gear is dead. Long live Top Gear! It may be good it may be bad, I will watch and see. I hope it is good. I also hope Clarkson, Hammond and May start their own show. I hope it is just as good as the old Top Gear, that way we end up with two good car shows.
I heard a rumor that the entire original cast is going to do a new show exclusively on Netflix. Doubt its true, but it would be nice.
That's been making it's rounds on a lot of different forums. If it happens, I wonder if there will be a spike in Netflix subscriptions "the Howard Stern Effect"
Sorry, my mind is closed. I'm afraid it'll be like watching Bewitched with the new Darren. He looks like a virgin!
If it stumbles.... Chris could always invite Clarkson, Hammond and May on the show for a little rejuvenation...
I just skimmed through Chris Evans on Wikipedia and if the BBC thought Jeremy Clarkson had a few problems this guy could very well make them rue the day they signed him for three years.
